Unit 2

In Unit 2 we studied the past simple form of the verbs to have and to be.  We also learned that to form the past simple of a regular verb you add "ed" to the end of the verb.  Play becomes played, cheer becomes cheered, and so on.

Time markers like "last week", "last night", "yesterday", and "two weeks ago" show us that we are talking about something in the past.

Its important to practice these verbs, especially the ones with irregular forms.  “Have” in the past tense is “had” and the verb “to be” becomes “was” or “were.”  It can get tricky, so here´s a fun game to practice.
