Grammar Bites 1:
Present perfect + ever

Use the construction "Have you ever....?" to mean in your life up to now.

Has he ever been to a desert?
No, he hasn´t.

Has he ever climbed a volcano?
Yes, he has. 

Remember to use the past participle with the present perfect form.  Some of the past participles are irregular like been or fallen. 

Grammar Bite 2:

Present perfect with never.

Use never to talk about things you have not in your life up to now.  

I´ve never seen a volcano.

She´s never been to the bottom of the ocean.

We´ve never fallen in the mountains.
